Hi,
Happy new year! I hope you had a nice celebration or – if you didn’t celebrate – just a beautiful Tuesday night. I’ll keep this newsletter short today, because I’m off myself for the holidays.
A few weeks ago I asked the question: what makes you hopeful about artificial intelligence? You came up with many examples – from an app that helps blind people "see" to a transcription programme for historical texts to a project that hangs up old phones in the rainforest.
Today, I’ve published an overview of the best reactions, with the reasons why I’m so excited about them. You can read the piece here: The small wonderful ways AI is changing our lives for the better.
Thank for all your input! I wish you a great – and not too artificial – 2020.
