I’m speaking at the European parliament about AI discrimination. Watch it online here

I’ve only been writing about artificial intelligence for a couple of months now, and I’ve already been invited to the European parliament to talk about it. What an honour!

At 3pm CET on Thursday, 12 December, I’ll be attending a symposium organised by the Greens to talk about automated discrimination.

There are facial recognition programmes that don’t recognise black faces and HR algorithms that ignore female applicants. How do these problems come about? And what can be done differently?

Feel like watching? You can follow the session live via the link below between 3pm and 6pm CET. It’d be great if you could (virtually) be there!

Use this link to watch the event live on 12 December 3-6pm CET.
